The Lounge Project takes an ordinary studio couch and transforms it into a canvas for personality, fashion, and attitude. Whether one gets lost in thought in a serene repose or subtly struts their stuff, the audience's focus is on the canvas itself more than the minimalist setting around it. With dramatic lighting, each subject possesses an element of narrative and intrigue with mood, shadow, and shape casting over them to provide a cinematic quality to the style/lens used to render their specific persona. There's something wonderfully genuine about being exposed in a cozy state of comfort as one's true self.
