“KINGS OF THE BLOCK”

Kings of the Block is an exploration of urban identity mixed with luxury from the ground up. Heavy shadows and dramatic lighting and expressions present the men in this series as kings, without crowns or thrones, positioned where they belong, but with their feet planted firmly on the ground. Clothing, presence, and implied narratives celebrate Black men, Black identity, Black culture and Kings of the Block is a testimony to the notion that one is not born royal - one becomes it, wears it, lives it, passionately, stylistically, and community-influenced.
