“NOIR STUDIES”
Noir Studies explores confidence, individuality, and self-expression through black-and-white portraiture. Through dramatic lighting, deep shadows, and minimal backgrounds, I wanted to capture how people express themselves through their body language, movement, and personal style. By removing colour, I focused on the contrast between light and darkness, allowing each subject's personality and presence to stand out. Throughout the series, I experimented with different poses, compositions, and motion blur to create a balance between bold, powerful moments and quieter, more intimate expressions. The combination of masculine and feminine energy brings different perspectives on confidence, showing that there is no single way to express it. For me, this series goes beyond fashion and appearance. It is about celebrating individuality and capturing the way people naturally occupy space, carry themselves, and communicate who they are without having to say a single word.
